This is a highly detailed multilayer painted piece. The primary image is painted on the front and back of a layer of glass. After each round of paint is applied the piece was fired to both solidify the paint and true up the colors. After several firings and layers I was pleased with the image and capped it with a layer of clear glass. The iris image is 4”x6” after framing the over all size is 7”x9.5” this was then mounted on a white background.
