This piece is very unique as it is mounted so it can be lit from behind. This piece is a combination of painting and glass components layered together to combine a lakeside image evoking feelings of Monet water lily’s. When deciding on how best to display this piece I found that when lit from behind the overall feeling I was trying to capture came through best. When creating the frame I went with a deep set almost shadow box frame that I installed a continuous led light ribbon in. When lit the subtle trees in the background and the shadows they cast come out and add depth to the image.
