This landscape is a combination of several techniques, enamel paint, frit and glass stringers. Beginning with a wash of enamel paint graded from vibrant yellow down to a deep blue to establish a general background, similar to a variety of painting techniques. After each addition of a layer the piece gets fired to bring out the true colors and transparent look of the glass. When I was satisfied with the overall painting I felt it showed best on a white background. The glass image is 9”x15” and the completed framed piece is 12.5”x18”
